…Just about everywhere! These items mostly come from overseas from an array of places, but mostly from Egypt, Dubai, India, Jordan, Kuwait, Pakistan, Qatar, UK, and the US.

While trying to check out, I’m being shown a crazy high price for shipping, what’s going on?

Depending on how you input your address, sometimes the shipping system doesn’t understand  your location. For US orders, shipping should never exceed $7. If you’re unsure about the shipping fee being displayed, feel free to contact us at info@shopthesouq.com and we will try to figure out the problem inshaAllah.

If you are ordering only 1 hijab, or few lightweight items like greeting cards, underscarves, pins, or 1 piece of jewelry we will probably issue a partial refund for the applied shipping cost due to the package being lightweight. The refund will be issued within 24 hours inshaAllah. Some banks don’t reflect it in your account within 3-5 days though.

I would like to place an order, but I do not have PayPal or a Credit Card, can I still make a purchase?

Of course you can! Just send us an email at info@shopthesouq.com with the list of items you’d like to purchase and from there inshaAllah we can arrange a payment method (usually a mailed check or money order) and a way of shipment, inshaAllah

I live in the area/NJ. Can I pick up my order? Will I receive the shipping cost back?

Of course! If you live in the area – Bergen County NJ – then you can place your order and email us. We’ll arrange a day and time where you can pick your order up and we will issue a full refund for the shipping cost.

I really want to place an order but I don’t think you ship to my country =(

No problem, send The Souq an email at info@shopthesouq.com and we can arrange for shipment to your country through our website and you can place your order straight from here.

How soon do you ship orders?

Typically orders ship before 36 hours, however we temporarily will be shipping orders only on Thursdays (temporarily effective from January 2011) We will update the page once we go back to our usual shipment timings.

How soon do you answer customer inquiries?

We try to respond to emails between 24-48 hours, on a rare occasion it may take an extra day but very rarely.

If I don’t like my items, can I return them?

If you are not pleased with your items you must contact The Souq within 3 days of receipt for a refund (the shipping fee is on you). Refunds are only for items returned in mint condition, the way it was sent out. The Souq will not issue refunds for already opened food, hijabs that smell worn and are covered in dandruff, or a card that you accidentally misspelled a message in and don‘t want anymore! Sorry! =P

Please make sure when ordering you read the product description as everyones computer displays the images colors slightly differently. We cannot cover return shipping charges for items ordered and thought to be something else. Refund for shipping is only available for damaged items in the rare case that something is received that way

NO RETURNS on clearance/reduced price items, snacks, or jewelry
